The routing marks used in Denmark were
inscribed "Færøerne". They were struck on covers to make clear that the item
of mail was addressed to the Faroe Islands. Following types are found:
Type 1. 1925. In capital letters with a
serif typeface and measuring 31x3 mm.
Type2. 1929-1934. Lowercase letter with
serif typeface and a full-stop. Dimisions are 24x3mm.
Type3. 1934. Capital letters in a
sans-serif typeface and measures 29x4,5mm.
Type4. 1934. Lower-case sans-serif
lettering and measures 20x10mm.
Type5. 1938-1939. Lower-case lettering
with a sans-serif typeface and measures 28x5mm.
