Registration and packet labels
Registration and packet labels of the Faroe Islands.
The different post offices and smaller post delivery have either registered mail or/and postal packets labels printed by the postal authorities.
At one time, at least 26 post offices had their own Registration labels for Registered Mail. (see list No.1 an 1A)
This number has now reduced to 24 (see list No.2)
Similar. Before 1990, at least 114 post offices had their own labels for use on postal packets and parcel cards (see list No.3)
Today, however, there are no label for parcel cards for packets sent by Postverk Føroya’s service. Ordinary Parcel Cards (fig.1) for mail to Denmark and other countries are without labels.
I have compiled lists (Nos. 1-3) of postal labels and parcel cards. If you can add new information, please let me know so that the list can be improved and updated.
